Handy new Spotify update will please many: new swipe gestures and touch previews

Music lovers this one is for you. If you use Spotify on a regular basis, it will probably have come to your attention that creating playlists or adding tracks can be somewhat of a small hassle. Spotify has been working on a few nifty tricks to keep your experience hassle free. Well, that’s what they hope.

Spotify announced an update to its iOS app to add some very handy new features. You can now preview any song just by touching the track and holding your finger down. Tapping it then plays the full track.

It’s as simple as this: swipe right to add the track to your current queue of music, or swipe left to add it to your My Music.

Along with these neat features, the app has had a small re-design. Under the Your Music tab you can now view recently played content and get to your Playlists or Songs by tapping one of the taps in this menu.
